2025 ACSA Lead With Pride Summit

Lifetime advocate and 50-year LGBTQIA+ activist, having served on numerous Boards of LGBTOIA+ groups in San Diego and Ventura, my passion is securing and maintaining rights for my community.  Along with my spouse of 42 years, Michael Tapia, have presented at several ACSA Equity events: Academies, Institutes, Summits, Conferences and numerous individual school district workshops throughout California.

I have served as well in numerous positions on the Region13, North Ventura Charter, and Retired Educational Leaders Charter Boards. I am the Co-Lead Ambassador for Region 13 and the very proud recipient of the 2018 State ACSA Retired Administrator of the Year award.

As the LGBTQIA+ Community struggles with the years ahead of us it is my goal to help you become advocates and allies in the struggle and to help you create safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ students, staff and families within your school and district.
