2025 ACSA Lead With Pride Summit

California’s new requirement—AB 5—makes it clear that LGBTQ+ cultural competency training known as PRISM, is not just a best practice, but a legal obligation for certificated educators who serve grades 7-12 starting July 1, 2025.

In this session, I’ll share why this training is so important — not just to meet compliance, but to truly understand and support the diverse identities of our LGBTQ+ students. I’ll talk about the heart behind PRISM, why it matters now more than ever, and how it can help us create schools where every student feels safe, seen, and valued.
